Hummus Recipe - Traditional Turkish Recipes
Hummus Serves six people Ingredients: 1 can of cooked chickpeas, 240ml of water 240ml of tahini, 100ml of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 dessertspoon of paprika, 2 teaspoons of salt, For Serving: 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 dessertspoon of mild chilli flakes Serving recommendation: Serve with a few slices of cucumber or seasonal salad greens of your choice. Preparation: Put half the water (120ml) into a food blender. Remove the skins from the chickpeas and put half a can into the blender. Add half the tahini and mix. Then add the remaining chickpeas and the rest of the tahini. In turn, add the lemon juice, cumin, paprika and salt. Mix all the ingredients in the blender for about 1 minute. To soften the consistency, add the remaining 1/2 cup of water and mix for another 2-3 minutes. Stop mixing when the hummus has a firm consistency. Put the hummus on a plate and make a well in the middle. Drizzle over 1 tablespoon olive oil. Lightly sprinkle with pepper flakes and serve.
